About me
Hi, I am Beatrice! I was born and raised in Rome, Italy. When I was 18, I took part in the "exchange student program" to study in the UK and learn English. I was randomly allocated to spend 1 year in South Devon, so that was it, I packed my bags and to Devon I went! I then went back to Italy for a year to finish my studies, and I officially moved to the UK when I was 20 to start a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I then moved to Liverpool for a year, followed by Manchester for my Master's in human physiology. I now live in Knutsford and work in pharmaceuticals.

I taught Italian on the side pretty much since the day I moved here. As a European student, I was not entitled to a maintenance loan during my degrees, so I had to work! My study method had to be efficient so I could teach about 15 students a week. As I refined my approach and gained mountains of experience, I developed a real passion for teaching as well as an incredibly structured method.

I have taught such variety of people from all over the world, from specialist doctors to ex-prisoners. Every single one has taught me something and has truly enriched my life. There is nothing more rewarding than understanding students for the human beings that they are and finding a teaching strategy that works for them.

About ITALIQUE
After 8 years of teaching and advertising on generic tutoring platforms, I decided to create something different, which gives students so much more insight into my philosophy and teaching method before deciding to embark on a learning journey with me. ​​

ITALIQUE encompasses everything I have to offer to Italian learners, including:

1-to-1 lessons, easily booked and paid for here on the website, no need to ask when I am available or remember to do a bank transfer. Lessons include bespoke teaching of grammar topics and speaking practice.

Face-to-face workshops, unique in the UK. Some are a series of teaching workshops, some are purely centred around practicing and finding out your level, and what to improve in a fun way.

Resources such as free exercises and listening tasks, as well as purchasable pre-recorded video lessons. This is very much a work in progress, but watch this space!

What makes ITALIQUE unique, which inspired its name, is its hugely logical and structured approach. My wealth of experience means that I know exactly what people tend to struggle with, and I teach in a preventative way, so that you can learn faster and more efficiently. I leave no stone unturned, and as long as you put in the work, I guarantee you I will get you where you want to be.

Beatrice is an exceptionally good teacher... Although she is still young she has been teaching Italian to foreigners for over 7 years already and has a great system that is clearly well tried and tested. She pushes hard but appropriately so and definitely with the best interest of the student in mind. She is also full of encouragement and has a sincere passion for teaching the language. The only reason I have been dragging my feet over leaving a rave review is that I don't want too much competition for her diary!
